Movie industry not likely to sue file sharers, yet
The movie industry has been learning from the recording industry's monumental mistakes, it claims.
First, it will get a system going for allowing movie fans to download and watch movies over the Net, legally, at an acceptable price, before file exchange of movies becomes the problem it is for the music industry.
Second, Hollywood will not insult and anger every one of its potential customers by suing school children and grandmothers, as the RIAA has been doing (hmm, but what about DVD Jon?). It simply sends cease and desist messages to those it finds are sharing files (and it floods the net with bogus files with hit movie names)..
Third, it will have tough encryption in place which will make "piracy" so cumbersome and difficult people will rather pay for the service or the DVD. We'll believe that when we see it.
