Share the passion for hard cash!
I don't think anyone doubts that Mel Gibson is devoted to his wacky form of Catholicism, but he isn't opposed to the idea of making a bit of hard cash on the gospel, either. Behold, the official site that sells merchandise for The Passion of the Christ! How about a cup with a picture of a cross, a photo from the movie, or what about a cross or a nail (picture) as jewlery?
Whatever you choose to buy to "share the passion," you can at least be glad that the Lord will not come running to chase the money changers away this time because, as Mel Gibson went to great pains showing, he was thoroughly killed two thousand years ago.
Nobody can serve two masters, wasn't that what he said?

Lord of the Oscars
In case you just fell down from the moon: The Lord of the Rings - Return of the King received all the eleven Academy Awards it was nominated for.
And, in my opinion, it was bloody well deserved.
(Yeah, I know the headline above sucks. But even a blogger can use silly, overused cliches when writing about the Academy Awards.)

Nine year old suspended for kiss
Third grader Stephen Fogelman gave a female classmate a kiss on the cheek. An innocent act, right? Not to the administration at their Missouri primary school.
According to the Branson school district student handbook, sexual harassment includes unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors and other inappropriate verbal, written of physical conduct of a sexual nature or creation of a sexually hostile environment.
Yeah, you guessed it. A nine year old kid suspended from school for "sexual harassment."
Isn't it great that the first time these kids learn about anything sexual, it is considered a crime?

Born to blow up
If we are to believe the outrage expressed in this article is real, then al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades and Islamic Jihad have actually managed to outrage ordinary Palestinians by recruiting three boys ranging from 12 to 15 years old to perform a suicidal terrorist attack against Israel.
In another development, the Israeli Supreme Court has halted for a week construction work on a section of the security barrier that is particularly disruptive to Palestinian communities. Just to demonstrate that one, and only one, of the parties in the conflict is actually governed according to the rule of law.
