That was close!

A rock avalanche dumped two huge rocks that were extremely close to flattening the white house on the picture, in Kvam outside Bergen, Norway. Luckily, the rocks landed on each side of the house.
Eighty-six year old Sigrid Uglehus is happy that her house is still standing, and that she was not at home. Amazingly, nobody was injured. What used to be her garage, however, can now provide the entire county with a lifetime supply of toothpicks.

Not crazy enough
Psychologists have examined the man who killed Swedish foreign minister Anna Lindh, Mijailo Mijailovic, and found that he is not legally insane.
The choice was prison or psychiatric detention, and Mijailovic will now be sentenced to prison. Most experts think it is likely he will be sentenced to "life", which means around 20 years.

We need some kitch art
If you're a fan of fantasy art, you must not miss Juggernaut, a site with large collections from popular artists like Hajime Sorayama (picture), H.R Giger, Alberto Vargas, Boris Vallejo and many others.
Not all of it may be entirely work safe. There is some factor of scantily clad well-endowed women in a lot of fantasy art.

"...was enjoying a few beers with friends when..."
Oh, the inevitable happens:
Shorten, 33, picked up a nailgun which he thought was empty, pointed it at his head and pulled the trigger.
The full story on Reuters, hilarious comments on Farm Accident Digest (yeah, I did not imagine a blog with that name existed!)
