The Iraqi government accuses Iran of attacking targets inside its country.

Iraq has accused Iranian forces of entering Iraqi territory and shelling Kurdish rebel positions in the north.

Iranian troops bombed border areas near the town of Hajj Umran before crossing into Iraq, the defence ministry in Baghdad said on Sunday.

Iran is apparentaly attacking PKK bases across the border from iran.

It's not exactly unusual that Turkey does the same.

Dutch MP and outspoken critic of Islamic extremism Ayaan Hirsi Ali has been evicted from her apartment by a court after neighbours complained that the security arrangements was a nuicance to them. Amazingly, the court bought the argument that this violated their human rights. Hot Air translates:

The court considers in its ruling that the neighbors have been put into a situation that has contributed to them feeling less safe in their own house. That feeling is extended to the communal living spaces of the apartment complex, but also to their own apartments. The court argues that this is a severe violation of one’s private life (as per Article 8 of the European Treaty for Human Rights).

One should assume the right to life was more important, but the Dutch - and the EU - seem to believe getting rid of Hirsi Ali will make the Islamists leave them alone.

Shame on these neighbours.

Ayaan Hirsi Ali is not happy:

Hirsi Ali and fellow MP Geert Wilders spent several months in hiding in secret locations due to death threats made against them because of their stance on Islam. "I think this is dreadful, horrible to have to move. I am happy living here and I feel safe," Hirsi Ali said in response to the judgement.

This is also another example of extreme overreach by EU law over national law.

I have previously mentioned the importance of a Baloney Detection Kit (BDK), using a slightly less refined name, when reading articles on the net. The 33rd Skeptics' Circle has a BDK as a constant theme, giving examples of some good application of the kit, and the tragedies that happen when people don't.
