It's very astonishing to see how the Norwegian press is obsessed with the US election, even worse than I remember from four years back.
Even more seriously, there is not even the remotest attempt at fair reporting, as the journalists' Obamania is so feverish and unrestrained I like Barack less and less every day (through, I admit, little fault of his own). The shock and fear our local press corps experienced when Sarah Palin upset their little world has had them scrambling for the most hateful rumours and innuendos about her, even those avoided by the US MSM, obviously picked uncritically off the darkest corner of the Kossack universe.
One example, here is a front page of the daily Dagbladet a few days back (PDF). The front page of Norway's second largest newspaper writes, in a war style heading:
The truth about the Palin scandals
Drunk driving
Adultery
Betrayal
...but 'Pitbull-Sarah' is the US' new superwoman.
