Geek names son Version 2.0

The geek version of Jr. or III in a name is pretty obvious.

Jon Blake Cusack talked his wife, Jamie, into naming their son Jon Blake Cusack 2.0.

Funny joke, but I'd not make the naming of my son into a joke. The poor kid is going to start school some day.

Weird eye for the straight site

Google's new look? If you are a person of habit, like me, even the mere idea of changes to Google's frontpage send a shudder down your spine.

From the Google weblog.

The return of Comrade Napoleon

Proculian Meditations may be a genuine hardcore Marxist blog, or it may be a parody. Like with Christian fundamentalism, it is impossible to distinguish parody from reality.

Highlights (if that is the proper word):

When all of the candidates reflect the interests of the ruling capitalist class, who cares which thief steals the election?

So-called "libertarians" exist because it is in the interests of the ruling class to detach social issues like gay rights from the only issue that really counts, class struggle.

A prime example is the trivial controversy over creation science and evolution in the public schools. Every drop of ink (or keystroke) wasted on this issue functions to distract attention from the three issues that really count. What are those three issues? Class, class, and class.

Well, Comrade Lysenko didn't see it what way...

Via Volokh. Old time religion, all right.
