NEW

Apparently the "Radio Userland's Stories" Cup only holds so much information and Act One's cup is full. Who knew?

Therefore if you're continuing reading The Goddess, click here:

If you're joining us or want to read any or all of Act One, Scenes One through Three, click on The Goddess graphic to the right.

Enjoy! - Hugh

THINGS I'M THANKFUL FOR

The Greatest Hits:

1. Being Alive - Living with AIDS for over twenty years hasn't, it goes without saying, been a piece of cake. Luck, good medical care and a Lust for Life have all been very, very good to me.

2.My Family - I have an extremely wonderful Mother and Sister, two of the kindest, beautiful and caring women I've had the pleasure of being with in this lifetime.

3. Peggy - My Jack Russell, my Best Friend, my Buddy, my Baby Girl who sleeps wrapped in my arms every night.

4. Roof Over My Head and Food To Eat - If nothing else, I'm a survivor and my persistance has gotten me a great apartment and the ability to take care of myself.

5. Being Gay - My sexuality has brought me some of the Most Fascinating Experiences and forced me to confront some of the basic issues of What It Is To Be Human, including vulnerability, strength and my creativity. Frankly, Straight Men: not much use with a few exceptions I appreciate deeply. War, crime, disease - guess who for the most part? AIDS may devastate the planet due to inaction based on Arcane Religious Terrorism propagated by... you guessed it. To the Heterosexual Men who've managed to expand their awareness farther than their Penis and their Ego, I applaud you.

The Short List for today also includes Dexter, the Buffy Marathon on FX and the Fabulous Lox I had for breakfast at the corner cafe.

Life is indeed Beautiful.
