Since I'm (currently) the most Visible Queer on Salon Blogs, it's always encouraging to see other good Gay and Lesbian blogs appear. Two new blogs of note:

My so-called lesbian life - For being "so-called", the author of this new blog, Penny, has started off with a bang: an article (with a picture!) of the Russian rock stars and lesbian lovers, "t.A.T.u.". Man, are these chicks Glamazons, or what? Penny also mentions she has a pet rabbit which I'm hoping to hear more about. How much do I love that name Penny? It makes me think of the claymation shorts on the old PeeWee's Playhouse where the little girl had pennies for eyes. At least her name isn't "Large Marge". Looking forward to more!

Rick Powell's Weblog - Film criticism with a nice Queer touch, noting in his review of Vin Diesel in XXX of how he takes his shirt off more. Hey, it's good to know these things before coughing up money at Blockbuster. I could go for a more interesting Blog Name, but that's just me. He's definately someone who seems to know his shit in film and isn't afraid to write it. Work! Plus he put "queer" right in his description and I personally like that post-modern usage.

There are, of course, other gay writers here on Salon (CJ's Bullhorn for example) and since I've sometimes felt like I've been Fighting the Fight without back-up (having been subliminally bashed here on Salon Blogs), I'm looking forward to some other perspectives on All Things Gay.

Now if we could just build a dancefloor...
