Because, you know, come on. Because it’s timely. Because it mixes the whole hippy/free love thing with some Aquarian hoo-hah about One World. You can be horny and socially conscious at the same time which could only be a good thing. Because you can dance to it. Because you can pull out your engraved Nam Zippo and just sway. Because it reminds you of being young. Because the chorus rocks despite the rose/fisted glove metaphor which seems a little wordy but who cares. Because everyone can Doot. Because it begs for a big choir. Because of the big crescendo where the music stops and you can throw your arms up like a Rock Star no matter who you are. Because, for some endearing reason, it makes you actually love the one you’re with... at least till the song ends.
