SO IT’S SAID


Today I received a very flattering entry about me and SRO on The Quotations Page Weblog which is written by Laura Moncur. Laura has been a long time reader here and has included some lines from past posts I’ve written in the Quotations Page database. I’m humbled and flattered she includes me in such a prestigious group.

These quotes have proven to be an interesting thing. I find them used on blogs and websites (usually without referring to SRO) and often wonder if the users have any idea from who and where they originated. For example, a site called The Australian Life Coaching Society even uses one permanently on it’s main page.

It’s occasionally unnerving to think people view something I’ve written as inspirational, especially at times when I feel so uninspired myself. That’s writing for you. The words come from somewhere inside and are released into the wild where they are on their own.

Good luck to you Quotes! I hope the life you take on away from mine leads you to Big Things. My work is done but as you inhabit and expand in the minds of others, your job begins. You are my unexpected legacy and like a parent feels about children who leave home into the world, I may never know where your path eventually leads but I always wish you the best.
