A historian named Barbara Tuchman wrote a book called "The March of Folly," in which she defined "folly" as the propensity of leaders since the fall of Troy 2,400 years ago to act against their own interests because of fixed notions divorced from reality. What is frightening about our time is not that powerful leaders still behave irrationally, but that they -- and the even more insane people who oppose them -- now possess an unprecedented technological capacity to kill, and also to destroy the biosphere upon which people on Earth depend for life itself. 9/11 a Hoax? http://www.conspiracyplanet.com/channel.cfm?ChannelID=89 Well, I'm back at my favorite conspiracy theory web site again, and I'd like to point out the articles there about 9/11, particularly this one. It seems that quite a few people think that our own government perpetrated the tragedy. Maybe this is old news. But it's the first time I've read any of this stuff, and it makes me very uncomfortable. I've always harbored suspicions that the US govt did this crime, and that they sent the anthrax, and invented the AIDS virus, and other horrible stuff. In fact I've been all over this web site tonight, and lemme tell ya it's a real Worrywart's dream. I'm feeling more than ever that we are all at the mercy of an evil cabal, and it's not in Iraq or anywhere in the middle east. The axis of evil is located in Washington, DC. There are madmen in charge. What can be done? The sheeple are walking into a trap. The few who realize what's going on are going to have to be like sheepdogs. We're going to need to nip their heels and bark at them and make them go in the right direction again. Why should we be polite any more to the dumb sheeple? Their intellectual laziness is causing the nation to be co-opted without proper consideration or a fight. Their stupidity is affecting us all. I am beginning to be very, very angry with the American sheeple. But I still stick to my theory that we are a nation of sheep because the government deliberately does not fund schools properly and because of fundamentalist religion taking over our brains, discouraging critical thinking, spreading narrow-mindedness and teaching blind, unquestioning obedience. Too little education and too much religion makes a Merkin a dull boy. I feel so badly for the kids and everyone who's over in Iraq getting shot up and traumatized. This war is unnecessary. George W. Bush should rot in hell, along with the rest of the evil ones. Where he gets the nerve to keep up that pious I'm-one-with-Jesus-and -I-say-my-prayers-every-morning shit is just beyond me. Bloody fucking obscene. He tries to make it seem like his war is sanctioned by God and Christ. It's unbelieveable that the sheeple eat this crap right up, but I'm certain that's the objective.
