Bienvenue, Tous le Monde
Maxine's griping about not being in the left column prompted me to take a look at it for the first time in months. Really... I had stopped being concerned about readership. This blog has become my diary. I do it just for me. And I am really selfish about it. Two times now I've insulted people I invited to read my blog... I forgot I invited them and wrote unflattering things about them. I get private and public mixed up. I'm a dork... I'm sorry everyone.
But I digress. I checked out the left column, and also who's been reading me.
I am puzzled by the page that shows referers. I see links to some other blogs. Thank you for reading Fiona, all of you. There were a couple of surprises there. A French chick with a French blog
http://neiges.blogspot.com
has me in her blogroll ('parcours' in French). And she isn't a Slogger. Very flattering. I wish I could read French. What was puzzling was the number of links that show they found me in searches. Several Googles and one MSN. Are these people who are searching some other Fiona, see me and come here out of curiosity? Then there were a bunch of links to previous posts I had made. Shorty. The gospel choir. Frederick Douglass and Fred Sanford. What does this mean? I also see that Katrina's been stopping by. Hey, girl. Whassup. And hello to Ms. Sarah C, who still reads me and invites me to her parties even though I never reciprocate (being entertainmentally challenged)... and in spite of being one of the victims of my thoughtless blogtrashings. A very lovely person, she.
I am republishing my infamous RadioUserland cartoon tonight for Maxine's enjoyment.
