Amazing Survival Stories

I am always compelled by stories about people who have survived some amazing circumstance.  Every year, you'll see at least one great story of a person who was out fishing and ended up drifting the Pacific Ocean for three months, living off of caught seabirds and rainwater.  Cast Away really does happen.

Today's Amazing Survival Story comes to us from West Virginia, where a man accidentally drove his car off the road into a 150-foot ravine, breaking his horn, headlights, and hip.  The guy was there for nearly a week.  Just after his crash, snowfall began.  He was preparing to go to sleep for the last time when he was finally rescued by a friend who had been searching for him.  He survived by burning paper and eating peanut butter and taco sauce in packets.
