The strangest thing happened to me this morning. I was driving through my parking lot at work, and I noticed a red glove in the grass off to the side of the lot. It was well off to the side, and not in an area that people typically would walk.
I certainly haven't walked there. And yet, there was that red glove. When I saw it, I thought that it was strange, because it looked a lot like the red gloves I wear. Since it has been warming up the last few days, I didn't have my gloves on. I'm not sure why I felt compelled to check my pockets, but I did, and in fact I only had one glove.
That was my glove sitting all the way over beside the parking lot, where I have never gone. I park a long way from where the glove was. If I dropped the glove by my car, wouldn't most people just leave it there? Or turn it in? Why pick it up, carry it eighty yards, and throw it on the grass?
Maybe a goose took it over there. Who knows?
A black and gold fuzzy caterpillar was on the glove when I picked it up, but I don't see how he could have been the culprit.
