There is a full (very full) account of the Lakers/Wolves game late last night on the Game Pipeline.  Don't miss it.

SARS hits home

I spoke too soon.  There is now a breaking local story about a 2 year-old in Ramsey County (where I live) who has been diagnosed with SARS.  There are few details known so far, as there is a press conference scheduled in 10 minutes to release more details.  It is being reported that the child was in Toronto recently.

I mentioned this to Jane on the phone, and she said: "I hope the kid doesn't go to Linus' daycare."

I hadn't thought of that.  The line between paranoia and justified concern can get blurry sometimes.  Sure, Ramsey County has a lot of people in it, so the odds of my son or other people I care about being exposed to this particular child are quite low.

Low odds, yes.  But that 2 year-old hasn't just been living in an isolation chamber.
