Linus and Mercedes, Progeny of Hyperbole, playing the part of a Ladybug for this photo

This is a weird picture of Lily and Jane

For those that care, the Linus and Lily pages have been updated.

Tired

Not much to say today.  I'm tired.  I'm sure Jane is tired, too.  Lily seemed to be awake and crying more than normal last night, but maybe I was the one who was awake more than normal last night.  Maybe that goes on every night, and I just don't hear it.

Babies, really young babies, need their mommas more than their daddies.  They just do.  My kids did real well on the Mommy Draw, that's for sure.  They did OK on the Daddy Draw, too, but Lily doesn't know that yet.  In time, she will.

Here's my one thought for today, before I jump into a pile of work:

Why is gas only priced on a 9/10's gallon basis?  Can someone explain that to me?  I know I asked my dad this question many years ago, but I have no recollection of his answer.  For all I know, his answer might have been "Because."  Was gas ever priced on a full gallon basis?  Was this just a clever way to make close to a 10% profit without appearing to raise the price?

In other news, the Loch Ness Monster still doesn't exist.  But if that's the case, how can these images be explained by any rational person?
