There will be no wild rice soup on Christmas Eve, no Swedish meatballs either.

There will be pedialyte and saltines.

Did the Norwalk virus strike us because I was paranoid or did I have good reason to be paranoid?  Either way, it's no fun for my little boy who can't even keep water down at the moment.  I can't decide if I'm sick or not.  I'm tired  & I have that sort of second-hand sympathy queasiness that comes from seeing someone else repeatedly throw up.

I must be careful not to eat anything I truly love these days, because if I do get sick, that particular food will then be associated with nausea and I'll never be able to eat it again.  I have ruined both hummus and crepes in this way.  It makes me ill just to think of either of them.

On second thought, perhaps I should eat donuts & chocolate covered peanuts, because it would be a good diet tactic never to be tempted by these things again.
