I don't know what's for supper tonight.  I think I'll pick something out of The Minimalist Cooks at Home.  Until I decide what that will be, here's some interesting reading on twenty things you must eat before you die.

I'll have to take Nigella's word on the pig ears.  I can hardly be snobbish about ears when Paul Hinrichs informs me that I have been eating pig snouts all these years in my braunschweiger.

And I'm happy to see veal marrow in osso bucco on the list.  At least that'll be one thing I can try soon.

The one thing I would add to the list is Colombian Ajiaco, which I've mentioned before--it's a chicken and potato stew, with capers and avocado and cream added right before eating.  Sounds strange, but the combination is delicious beyond words. The lack of a certain herb called guascas and the right kind of potatoes make it difficult to duplicate exactly here in Minnesota, but one can come close.
