I am pleased with myself at the moment, having made good on my one and only New Year's Resolution: to tend to my derelict little blogroll at left.
I had links there that were definitely out of date; links to blogs that had been abandoned or changed, and links to blogs that I no longer visited.
Sprucing things up was a great accomplishment for me because I loathe tinkering around in the underworld of my radio weblog. All this sort of stuff: "//>/>="//,.,http://www.="<><><><><>" can make me INSANE. One punctuation mark out of place, and suddenly YOUR XML IS NOT VALID! NOT VALID, NOT VALID, NOT VALID!
I loathe it as much as I loathe the drive to Minneapolis. But I forced myself to tinker, to produce valid XML and now I am proud of myself.
I'm not quite finished. I still have a few more blogs to add, but I promise the list will never be too long. I'm a little ruthless and discriminating, I know. I'm always looking for blogs of interest, quality, and a certain dignity, as well as ones that ping on my radar. At the same time, searching for blogs is rather like looking through the New Books section at the library--every now and then you need to pick up and read a book that has nothing to do with you, or your world, or your interests--just to stop yourself from stagnating.
