After my tamales post last week, I got an email from someone who speaks Spanish, informing me that the singular of tamales is tamal, not tamale.
I feel I should be excused for this oversight since I’ve never had occasion to deal with only one tamal. Indeed, I’m not sure why we even need a singular form of this noun.
Also, my Lebowski post made me want to watch that movie again so I finally bought a copy. Our local blockbuster had aquired 3 copies, doubtless to keep up with the suprising number of rentals at this particular store. They're going to wonder what happened.
Think of me tonight. I don’t know where you are, but I’m on my couch watching The Dude.
