Another Free Association Memory
Funny Memory My parents are sitting across the table from us, thumbing through snapshots from our honeymoon. They come across a picture of our clothes strewn across the ground. My dad looks at the picture, grins, and turns it around so my wife and I can see it. My mom and dad start laughing.
My wife blushes deeply. She forgot to take that one out of the stack. They know we made love outside in the mountains of Colorado. They know this about us now.
I watch as my parents look at each other, and I notice a subtle change in their laughter. I realize they aren't laughing at us anymore. They are sharing an unspoken moment of their own.
