I had this funny picture in my head of a freak-show barker shouting, "Come, See a Real Live Preacher".

Mars Panorama

I found an interesting site with a fabulous 360 degree panorama created from images sent by the Spirit Rover. The site is dedicated to immersive panoramic images. Hans Nyberg, a commercial photographer from Denmark, says that the purpose of the site is to increase public awareness of the beauty of this kind of photography.

You probably need to have a high speed connection if you want to see these images. Either that or a lot of patience.

After you view the Mars picture, you might enjoy looking at some others on the site. Don't miss the panorama from the top of Mount Everest. I also liked the Times Square picture from New Year's Eve, complete with sound track.

Zoom in our out with the Shift and Ctrl keys. Use your mouse to move around. Many of the images will allow you to look up and down as well. Amazing.
