It is Finished
Well, that's it. I sent the final essay off to Chuck today. Someone asked me if I would write something about prayer. I found myself rather reluctant for some reason. I ended up with two essays:
"Why Don't You Write Something About Prayer?" and "Something About Prayer."
That's all. I can't tell you how great it feels to send those two essays to Eerdmans. That makes nine essays for the book that were never on the blog.
There will be more work to do for the book, of course. I don't really know what has to be done, but I think it will editing, polishing, writing an intro, that sort of thing. That's work, but it's not the same kind of work as writing the essays. Nothing requiring that kind of creative nurturing.
At least I hope not. What do I know, though?
Now I need to get back into my blogging routine, which means trying to post something every other day or every third day. It feels like it's been ages since I posted an essay. I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but I continue to be amazed at how much I enjoy posting essays on the blog and how hard it has been to write essays for the book.
Very interesting. I'm not in the mood to figure it out either.
