I had this funny picture in my head of a freak-show barker shouting, "Come, See a Real Live Preacher".

I got an interesting email from Dash, along with a new graphic as a follow up to my post yesterday. I sent him email asking if I could post it, but he hasn't replied yet. So I posted it anyway. Hope that's okay with him. It probably is.
                                     Thanks Dash.

Let us further agree that this circle represents the eternally-wise and compassionate grace of God that embraces both the parishioner (human, unrealistic admiration and all) and the pastor (human, unrealistic self-expectations and all) and somehow makes it work, regardless of how authentic we feel we're able to be. (And remember: the people in the pew aren't always successful at showing you their authentic selves, either.)

Dominus tecum,
Dash
