A call to arms - arm your camera!

Tired of Donald Rumsfeld and his Total Information Awareness package of spying on you?  Want to do something about it?  Free at noon (your local time) on Tuesday, December 24th?  Well, why not participate in Worldwide Sousveillance Day?  In fact, I've got an additional suggestion.  After you've got all these photos and videos, mail them to the address below:

Donald H. Rumsfeld
Secretary of Defense
1000 Defense Pentagon
Washington, DC 20301-1000

Might want to send a copy to Ashcroft, too.

John Ashcroft, Attorney General
U.S. Department of Justice
950 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20530-0001

Funny, both the DOD and the USDOJ website have privacy notices....

An Open Letter to Republican Senators

Today, Trent Lott announced that he is stepping down from his expected post of Senate Majority leader, due to the flap over his perceived-to-be-racist comments at Sen. Strom Thurmond's birthday bash.  Sen. Bill Frist is so far the only declared candidate to replace him.

I have a request to all those that will be voting for the new Majority leader soon.  Pleaes, please, please, do not just vote for Frist just because he is a "close ally" of George W Bush.  The one thing this administration, and this world, does not need is another Bush yes-man.  What we could use is an independent thinker.

Note that I am not asking you not to vote for Frist.  So far, I don't know anything about the man.  I am merely asking that you think about what we as a country need from the Senate Majority Leader, and do the job you were elected to do: to help lead the country in the best interest of its citizens.  So please, vote accordingly!

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Christine Wolak

So, a little humor.  This is a real law-firm website.  I came across it at Heartless Bitches.  What a riot.  Who says that lawyers don't have senses of humor!
