So, the recall election is off again...

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that the California gubernatorial recall election cannot be held in October, because the use of punch cards has previously been determined to be "invalid".  I'm sure we all remember the problem with punch cards in 2000, right?  Of course that leads to my favorite quote, which can be found here:

The fight has just begun," Diamond told Reuters. "If (punch cards) were good enough to elect our president we don't see why not they're not good enough to elect our Governor."

If this guy wasn't the attorney for the "Sacramento recall leader", I'd say he was being sarcastic.  But he must be serious, at least if you assume that "our" means "Republicans'".
