Wherein I curse madly on all sorts of topics, and probably talk about my cats, too, at some point.

Coming up for air

Well, sort of.  I haven't really been "down" anywhere.  I've just been under low-grade stress about some work issues for a couple of weeks.  Both issues cropped up around the same time (mid-August) and after mostly stagnating in the meantime, it looks like both are now in the end stages of being resolved.  VeryModern's been going on recently about a "Pluto Transit".  I wonder if that's what this has been.  Whatever it is, I think I'm seeing the south end of it as it heads north.  Which is very good.

Meantime, our downstairs neighbors had a party on Friday and invited everyone in the building (only about 10-12 more of us).  We've lived here over a year, and this was the first social occasion with others in the building.  One guy said "you don't look familiar to me..."  I replied "Nope, I've never seen you before."  It was nice, though - we all agreed that it was good to get together, and we were all in agreement on the despicableness of the folks that used to live above us (my husband and me).  From their treatment of their dog to their parties to their noise to the garage parking situation to $7,000 worth of damage to their apartment (not to mention back rent), they were apparently universally hated.  It was as though we each had one piece of the puzzle, and when we all got together, we each realized that no, it wasn't us, it was them.  So, now we've agreed that we need to have a party on the roof deck.  Maybe right above where they used to live.  :-)
