A big shout out...
to L.A. drivers. And I'm not being sarcastic in any way,
shape or form. I just got back from a business trip there, where
I was the primary driver of our little carpool. So you get on the
highway and have to cross four lanes of traffic to get over to the
carpool lane. And everyone just lets you do it! I put on my
blinker, and all of a sudden a space opens to the left, and I glide
over. Then another lane, and another. I think out of 4 days
of that, only once did one driver not let me in, so the guy behind him
did.
I had been feeling a bit nervous at the thought of driving in L.A.
traffic, but I must say that it was much more pleasant than some other
big cities I've driven in (Chicago, New York, I'm talking about
you!). Thanks, L.A.!
