Josh Marshall is wrong, this passage is not just an “unfortunate passage”—it is proof positive of how low the toadies will go in defending der leader:

 

“No plan for postwar Iraq? It’s not Bush’s fault, it’s a congenital fact of the Amurican ‘intellectual’ tradition. And it’s for the best too.” [paraphrase of NY Times toady David Brooks]

 

(rolling eyes)

 

What next? “Gee, its swell to have so many Amuricans unemployed since it does wonderful things for productivity”?

 

Oops, sorry, that one is already taken.

 

[And this is why such misguided logic is wrong.]
