Very interesting… and his point that people’s politics often turns on questions of identity rather than issues is something I’ve maintained for years.

These media folks LIE without shame!

The PKA -- Can I get this on a T-shirt?

This would be funny if it didn’t hurt so much L

Listened yesterday and learned three things:

1) Ron Suskind is freaking brilliant... it is amazing how he is able to finesse and coax the truth out of otherwise reticent interviewees.

2) O'Neill has become a big wimp... sounded the whole time like his balls were in a vice, or like the Bush crime family threatened his kids after the 60 minute interview (didn’t Ross Perot make some sort of allegation like that once?).

3) Terry Gross is a terrible interviewer... (as Bill Walton would say “a terrrrrrrrible interviewer): talks too d—n much, asks "yes or no" questions, asks questions without any nuance: "is Karl Rove evil?" (paraphrase).

Ranks right up there with her asking economist Paul Krugman if numbers aren’t inherently “subjective.”

Suskind eats Gross’ lunch as an interviewer, they are not even in the same league. Thank Allah for Suskinds presence, or it would have been a complete disaster. As it was I still came out of the interview with a vaguely seedy feel...
