I imagine I'll shake off my TV-watching habit quite soon, but while the Iraq war is going on, it's better to be informed than not ... it's amazing how the quality of CNN programming improves as the evening goes on. You lose the annoying Wolf Blitzer and the inane Miles O'Brien, and get Aaron Brown, who is more laid-back and actually seems to think before he opens his mouth. Last night -- it being the weekend, I suppose -- it was Cameron Cooper, another relatively professional presenter, who doesn't showboat either. And all the real news seems to come in then ... actual frsh footage, not the same thing being chewed over by the pugs of war ...
