TSA contraband on sale in airport gift-shops

Interesting story about Cory Doctorow's experience with airport security. Apparently, they confiscated a butane lighter, which he was then able to replace with a similar item just inside the security checkpoint.

Reminds me of the idiocy at D-FW airport before 9-11 when checkpoints confiscated knives. Then you could stop at the Chili's restaurant inside security and make off with a big, ol' honkin' steak knife that would make Crocodile Dundee blush.
