Welcome!

Merry Christmas to all and welcome to the new site of Le Prêtre Noir.  I am still getting the site set up and working, but here soon you will find my thoughts about the church, what it isn't and what it could be, my thoughts on spirituality, faith and love.  I decided long ago that the church needs to change in a huge way, something it is seemingly incapable of doing at first glance.  Rather than leave it, thirteen years ago I dropped everything and went to seminary in Berkeley, CA to become an Episcopal priest to work from the inside.  There are plenty of scars to show for my efforts, for the thing the church is most fearful of is change.  I look forward to sharing stories and some sermons with you all soon...right now, I'm between Christmas Eve services and have several hours to go before I get some time with my family.  I hope you'll be checking this site out from time to time.  I look forward to sharing with you.
