A picture named

Outed!

Well, here you see him in all his glory.  Father Bojangles, caught on the Holy Hog (license SOULMN) in the Fall of '99 right after I had baptized the littlest little guy in my arms.  His older brother (did him two years prior) is getting the feel for the Harley he'll have in 20 or 30 years.

I couldn't stand it any longer.  The weather this Spring has been lousy and I haven't had an opportunity to really ride since the snow melted.  As the saying goes (though Art Jacobson might not understand out there in AZ) "If you don't ride in the rain, you don't ride." So when Rick called, I couldn't say no.

Rick bought himself a Harley last week and today was the day he was going to pick it up.  I told him I'd ride up to Johnstown to the Harley dealership and meet him there and ride back with him.  I needed to get a new rear tire and an oil change anyway.  The weather looked halfway decent and I was really looking forward to a nice ride.  I did my 7:30 service this morning (Ascension Day) and hit the road at 8 for the hour and a half trip.  The air temp. was 50 degrees, and at 60 mph, the wind chill was around 39....but I didn't care.  I was finally on the road after being cooped up all winter (except for ice fishing) and it felt great.  Rick met me in Johnstown about an hour later and while my bike was getting finished up, he did the paper work on his, dropped a couple hundred on some leather and off we went.  By this time the sun was out and we were in heaven.  A nice leisurely ride back home, looking at cloud patterns, dodging a few raindrops, smelling the smells...my two-wheeled psychiatrist came through again, and I'm ready to take on the world.  The first real ride of the season and it couldn't have been more perfect.

Just thought I should crow a little.

Peace.
