The main point of experimentation..
of this blog is the spiritual commentary I will interject into discussions. This area is where this blog really differs from the "average" progressive/left thinking site I imagine (not that I identify with those labels particularly, but I know how people like their labels). I don't do this because I am a fanatical religious anything, and I don't claim or feel attached to any one religion as my own, and I strongly believe that in 90+ percent of cases they ALL are obstacles on the path to full self-enlightenment, by the way - though this is not to say I have a problem with religion in and of itself, just that they are stepping stones in the path. And oh yeah, all the major religions in the world have a lot more in common than they do differences. Take for instance the wide differences that the news would lead us to believe exist between Christianity and Islam for instance - well guess what folks, Jesus is the number 2 most respected guy in Islam only behind Mohammed! (really!) All this hatred and fighting over who stands where. What a bunch of ignorance that couldn't embody something more removed from each of the respective phrophets teachings.
I know "God" to be real and cannot imagine trying to divorce spiritual truth with political truth and/or views, or vice-versa (the divorce of reason and spiritual law is why some "left" thinking people are as crazy as their "right" thinking counterparts, and is also a partial explanation for the large holes in the democrats agenda that one can drive a bus through). As a teaser let me also say that I don't subscribe to blind faith on much, though everyone does have their assumptions they work with of course (yes, even you). My views put me at odds with almost every entity out there in some way or other, which is exactly why I started this blog and where the "Irreverent" part of my blogs title comes in.
I look forward to the coming months of challenging all of the established dogmas and institutions I can, as well as being challenged by them.

Thought of the day
The choice between democrats and republicans is more and more of an illusion everyday. Vote Green.
