strollin'
i found some pics from when my cam was brand spanking new. jeff and cassandra and i walked to the headshop and my roomie was back at home building my new pc. on our walk we encountered this scene.

jeff took the pic 'cuz i still felt retarded lining up a shot where people could see me *shockhorror* i'm weird...i hate the idea of strangers watching me but usually it's under control, i can function lol. when i'm stoned, that feeling is intensified. anyway...
we made up stories about what had happened. was it an angry significant other's revenge after finding out his lover had an internet love? one frustrated pc user who'd had enough? or just some kids having some good ol' fun with destruction?
cassandra snapped this pic of my new machine's guts.

i was so happy to see 'the drain' die finally. although i felt it was magical. it worked for the most part which amazed anyone who ever looked at it's innards or tried doing much of anything besides surfing (and that was painfully slow.)

what a fantastic day!
i'm beat but had a great fucking day! i fell in love with jay's new kitty! she's so dang adorable :)

she's got beautiful markings. i want a new kitty now damnit lol. but i've gotta wait 'til i get moved in the fall.
the weather has been insane here today. here's a not so good pic of a storm moving over downtown tonight.

i tried to get a good pic of lightning, it's going off like crazy but i'm too slow with the camera. i hope our electric doesn't go out tonight.
the best part of today, we got our rings. we both really want to wear them now but we are being good and waiting 'til saturday. we did 'pretend' today for about 5 minutes while we were waiting for our dinner at pizza luce.
okay, i'm off to bed (actually, i wanna watch the storms roll thru before i drift off to sleep)

trying something new
i'm actually going to really try my hardest to keep track of income and expenses. it's just ridiculous that we are -always- broke. this will also let us know if i really need to get a second job. although i'm so tired from just this one job, not sure how'd i do working two but i guess if i've gotta do that, then i'll do it. although, now i'm working more than 24hrs a week...bleh we'll see!
money sucks mainly because i have no willpower

oh baby! less than a week
and i'll be a married woman! i've got so much to do this week, since me being me, i let things go until the last minute! i've gotta still buy decorations, plates/plasticware and napkins, cups...hmmm i'm sure i'm forgetting something. i did pick up a pair of shoes today that go great with the dress and are comfy as well so i can wear them all night. we got the kegs taken care of, i'll need to buy a couple bottles of booze and mixers, oh and ice would be good. the food is all assigned out to be made by friends and family (thank you SO much guys, i really appreciate it!) we're getting our rings tomorrow. hmm okay, i think that's it for now! everything seems to be falling into place. yay! oh and greg's mom arrives thursday, i'll finally get to meet her and my grandparents are in town as well. okay, breathe!

hot and sticky
my party on saturday night was just awesome! i know some amazing and wonderful women and am so lucky to have them as friends. we drank, we ate, we talked, we laughed, we danced and we hugged. it was just wonderful! i got some nice prezzies and some funny prezzies (i love my penis keychain!) i managed to maintain my buzz instead of getting stupid drunk (yay me!) and i think i only spilled one drink while dancing. not too bad :) thank you my friends. i love you all so much! and to my surprise, when i got home, croka had left me a little treat :) thanks croka! i much appreciated that as did greg :D
sunday, a day of recovery.
i picked up a shift at work on monday and it was just bad. i was out of it and we got slammed. it sucked. and it was hot. fucking hot. the best part of monday was getting my wedding dress. ali, you are an angel! i love the dress and feel absolutely beautiful in it! it's perfect :)
today was better, work a little slower, the temperature a little lower (and a breeze, thank god for the breeze) and i think we may finally get our kitchen sink to work!

coolness!
i ran into my first grade teacher last night. Mr. Mayer, he actually remembered me! he said he still tells stories about me to his students!! hahah!
the graduation was typical..thank god it's was a smallish class, less than 200 students. Al looked so grown-up in his cap and gown. i could brag about this kid for hours. he's such a good guy, a very nice and respectable kid, while still retaining the teen aura. i hope he goes far in life, he deserves it.

oooh pretty glass!
i found a whole bunch of pretty glass peices from Tommy Chong's now defunct site over at the memory hole. i have this tube which i bought at Clown Glass just down the road from me.
ps. read the peice to see why Chong's site got shut down :( stupid feds, stupid drug war that doesn't work.
grr! i was just digging around the Clown Glass site...they've removed all the pics/links to their smoking devices section.

Mothers of Invention~Hungry Freaks, Daddy
Mr. America, walk on by your schools that do not teach Mr. America, walk on by the minds that won't be reached Mr. America try to hide the emptiness that's you inside But once you find that the way you lied And all the corny tricks you tried Will not forestall the rising tide of HUNGRY FREAKS DADDY!
They won't go to war no more Great mid-western hardware store Philosophy that turns away From those who aren't afraid to say what's on their minds The left behinds of the great society
HUNGRY FREAKS, DADDY!
Mr. America, walk on by your supermarket dream Mr. America, walk on by the liquor store supreme Mr. America try to hide the product of your savage pride The useful minds that it denied The day you shrugged and stepped aside You saw their clothes, and then you cried, "Those HUNGRY FREAKS, DADDY!"
They won't go to war no more Great mid-western hardware store Philosophy that turns away From those who aren't afraid to say what's on their minds The left behinds of the great society

not of the elite
thank god for that! whew! *wipes brow*
i am socially deviant, the black sheep in the family, an outcast, just a plain old freak.
i prefer sitting on the sidelines and looking in. it's where i'm most comfortable, it's where i've been most of my life.
oh i'm able to function in society, because i learned how to play the game. but i don't much like it and only do it to survive. i know there are a lot of people out there that are like me. so maybe i'm not such a freak after all? but i'll still be a freak to that girl who marries for money and status, smothered in diamonds or that guy with the fanciest car in the lot and the newest, fastest, bestest whatever.
or maybe i just like to think i'm a freak. it makes me feel good. look at me I'm DIFFERENT! and oh so SPECIAL!
or maybe i'm just an attention-whore?
ahhh! who cares? right? right ;)

any artist types feel like helping out a chick who can't draw to save her life?
i'm trying to come up with a new idea for a tatt, something original and meaningful to me..i have the ideas i just can't get them onto paper! damn damn damn, i wish i could draw!! or even sketch reasonably well.
i want to cover this gecko i already have. it goes almost all the way around my ankle:

but this time i want to go crazy big and have a vivid piece that goes from my knee to ankle/top of foot...
i'd like to have a female form (which represents my feminine side of course) and lots of foliage (nature is my friend) and some animals which i'm fond of (which can either be discreetely drawn into the foliage or something along those lines. these would be turtles, cats, and/or spiders) also some water somewhere in it (grew up by the lakes and i just love water/swimming/the sound of waves.) i'd like something that symbolizes my marriage too but that could maybe be a whole 'nother tatt.
help please?

another...
Wise - A strong mind and intuition for all, you prefer nature to people, it is just has more sense. By looks, some would call you an earth childe or hippe, but your connections go much deeper than those superficial names.

the only way i truly enjoy coffee is from a French Press. mmMMm. on weekend mornings, i love sitting at my desk or snuggling on the couch with greg sipping a hot delicious brew of dark coffee.

lists, i like lists, yup sure do!
things i'd like to get into the habit of doing more regularly:
Yoga, i bought a tape, so why don't i ever do yoga? oh yeah, i'm a lazy ass.
Ride my bike, this i'm doing well on. i rode to work this past week and i'm sure i'll keep it up. it helps that i save $3.50 per day on bus fare. only problem, what do i do on rainy days? i don't have any rain gear yet, nor do i have the handy little fender dealy thing that helps keep road smear from going up your ass and back. that looks so attractive.
Use my extra day off every week as cleaning day! i've always bitched that weekends needed to be three days and now for me, that's a reality. i've gotta take advantage of that now.
things i'd like to do someday, when i can afford it or figure out a way to afford it:
Join a gym. not just any gym, bally's and others of that ilk bore the shit out of me, but a boxing or a martial art gym. i boxed at a place for about 9 months and i LOVED it. but i could no longer afford it so i had to quit.
Go to school. my biggest problem (outside of paying for it) is deciding what, just what in the heck do i wanna do? i keep waffling. i am jealous of those people that have always known what they were going to be when they grew up. i already have student loans for my university education that i'll be paying off til i die most likely. this time around, i'd like to pay as i go.
something i must do real soon now:
Quit Smoking Cigarettes. oh but how i love my dirty nasty habit. i have a theory, that if i get more active and healthy, eventually, my desire for cigs will wane and it'll be easier to quit. whatcha think??
