a few of us (greg, me, pat and gretchen and sarah) headed over to studioZ to see captured by robots perform his ten commandments show. ohmygod, what an awesome night!

they were entertaining! the lead singer was all over the place, jumping into the crowd, moshing, falling over. lol! as i said, very entertaining!

new look

okay, all done bleaching and piercing!

i went to body manipulations for the labret piercing on a recommendation from a customer at work. she said it's the best place in SF for piercings. the place was clean and the staff were very professional. i will definitely go back there for any other piercings i may get in the future. in about two months i will be switching out the barbell with a hoop but barbells heal better so for now i'm stuck (hahah!) with the barbell. i think it looks good if i say so myself. and i love my shiny new blonde hair! greg hasn't seen any of this yet. i hope he likes it!

a hit

the Unconditional Loathing show in oakland was a hit! the guys were great, the crowd loved them! there were quite a bit of laughs and UL made $7 panhandling the crowd! HAHAHA! it's one thing when i hear their idea for a show and find it hilarious but it's a whole 'nother even more gratifying thing when they actually perform and the crowd thinks it's pretty damn funny as well. now they just have to get a third show in oakland to round out their Trilogy. great job guys!

at about 12.05am jan 1 2004, the people throwing the party burned a christmas tree in the middle of the street. pretty cool. we took off shortly after the tree burning and headed back to SF. more people to see!

as we were walking to BART in oakland, it started to rain. nothing big, just a little sprinkle. by the time we got off the BART on 16th and mission, it was raining harder. we found the bar our friends were at and made it in time for last call. then we all walked to Pat and Gretchen's. by now it was pouring. needless to say, we all got soaked. greg and i dried off a bit at P & G's and finally around 4.30am headed home. walking, of course. we got soaked again. but i couldn't help but laugh. damn, what a good night :)

beach goodness

yes the water is cold! no, i didn't get very far into the water but greg, paul and nicole did! but the sun was warm, the breeze cool and the beach crowded. i was being a dork with the camera, taking a lot of pics of myself (yes, yes, i am an attention whore and a dork among other things.)

a day at the beach

yesterday we headed to ocean beach. we walked through golden gate park and so i just had to see the bison paddock. the buffalo didn't look too happy and i felt bad for the poor guys :(

after visiting with the buffalo, we headed west to the ocean. i've always loved water and it's just so fucking cool to live so near this massive body of water. i just sat in the sand, sipping a beer, absorbing it all; the sound of the surf pounding the beach, the seagulls flying overhead, dogs playing in the water and best of all, surfer boys! yay for the ocean!

so the plan is (after we get working, of course) to outfit ourselves with bodyboards, wetsuits and fins so we too can play in the water! i can't wait! of course, i'd love to learn how to surf but well, i don't wanna die immediately (haha), so i think bodyboarding is the way to start.

past weekend

there was an airshow here over the weekend. friday afternoon, paul, greg and i bussed down to the wharf and watched the blue angels. god, i love the intense sound those jets make! we headed back to the wharf saturday afternoon with nicole joining us to get our fill of loud jets and cool stunts. the weather has just been gorgeous and it was great to sit by the water's edge. the sound of the water lapping at the shore and all the boats crowding the water reminds me of home.

and i'm back!

woo! got internet 10 days sooner than expected!

we got here with no problems. the moving truck worked perfectly for us, the cats didn't freak out by being in a truck for three days and greg and i didn't get into a fight!

we LOVE our new home.

we love our new home and our new neighborhood! i fell in love with the city, it's busy and kinda dirty with so much to see and loads of people everywhere. amazing people watching. ahh two weeks and we are there :):):):):)

monday's adventures

greg, myself, paul and his g/f nicole spent monday enjoying some of minneapolis' natural beauty. after a hearty breakfast at the uptown bar and grill we headed over to lake calhoun and rented some canoes for the afternoon. nothing like soaking up some sun on a sweltering hot day out on the lake.

after the canoeing goodness, we made our way to loring park to show nicole the black squirrels that hang out there. i've never seen black squirrels anywhere else, i think they may be only found in this particular park (please correct me if i'm wrong.) they are just so damn adorable! we had three of them eating peanuts from us but only one was brave enough to come up and eat them from our hands. some pigeons decided to come check out the free food too!

crash 'em up derby!

so sunday evening paul, his g/f, greg and myself all head down to owatonna to the steele county free fair to see the demolition derby. woohoo! i've never been to a demolition derby before and it was pretty enjoyable, if you like destruction! the smell was horrendous, the sounds deafening and the people watching awesome.

the reunion

it was actually more fun than i had anticipated! poor greg, although he was a trooper :) i didn't get many pics 'cause i was too busy running from the dining area to the smoking area and back (and of course catching up with people.) there were quite a few people i was very glad to see and others i hardly said two words to. kinda a lot like high school.

we ended up partying back at ang's hotel after stopping at lord fletcher's for last call. [i loathe lord fletcher's, it's such a hey look at me, i'm rich and i have a boat and i'm important kinda place (or even a hey look at me, i'm rich and have a big boat, why don't you come home with me hot young girl? kinda place :P) but anyway...back to the story] i guess some naked hot tubbing went on late in the night or morning but greg and i were already sleeping. that poor hotel out in the boonies, they probably haven't seen that much goings-on in a long time.
