Unsuspected Childhood Disorders
Someone ended up at this blog yesterday after googling for:
Child Disorder "Watching Cars"
Is this a disorder? Why? Small children love to watch cars, but I can't think of anything unusual about it: cars move, and there always seem to be more of them. The googler must have meant older kids -- a ten year old sitting on the front porch all day watching cars go by, one after the other.
That sounds like it could be a problem, especially if the child is also counting the cars, or (worse) flagging them down. It would make me wonder about what was going on inside the house, though that's just my inner pop psychologist speaking.
Anyone have insights about car-watching disorder? I'm really curious.
