And we thought they were an improvement
When are we going to have a recording media that lives up to its promised longevity? The Sydney Morning Herald reports that after only five years of manufacture, up to ten percent of all DVDs are already starting to rot or fall apart! The failures are a combination of corrosion, known as "DVD rot" and delamination, where the layers of the disc separate. Symptoms of the rot include picture break-up and freezing at a specific place on the disk. Delamination shows up as a coffee-like stain that prevents the disc from playing.

Maybe I shouldn’t be quite so eager to replace all my favorite VHS tapes with DVDs!

How about the 32 oz bottle of foundation?
If you think the celebrities are better looking than us common folk, see what they look like in natural light without make-up. I think I’m going to post some of these ‘unadorned’ pictures on my fridge....they will be good for an occasional laugh!

Thanks Geek Grrl for pointing me to this!
