Leo Full Moon - 6:51 pm EST

Salvador Dali, Moon (for a tarot deck)

This full moon highlights how far we have come and how far we still have to go, urging us to break free from the past and break down the old order. The full moon falls in the sign of Leo, and because of other planetary aspects involved, it highlights change. The Sun is in Aquarius the sign of the rebel and Uranus, the mythic god of chaos, is less than a degree away. This aspect will be pushing all of us to make some changes in our lives. Also in the mix is a Mars-Pluto conjunction (they are together at the same degree) in Sagittarius. This will add some passion to our emotions and greater power to our efforts for change.

New moons and full moons mark points in our physical/emotional cycles. Each sets the stage for the major flavor of the following two week period. By taking notice of the nature of the these points, we can time our actions to work with these forces instead of against them. More can be accomplished by paddling with the flow instead of against it! In the next two weeks look for change and embrace it when it appears, break from the things in the past that no longer work for you, and let a little bit of chaos into your life.

Happy Full Moon! I hope you get a chance to appreciate this one with your honey. The weather here in Florida has been particularly nice (a stroll on the beach in the moonlight is a pleasant option right now!), but wherever you are–soak up some moonbeams!

More star stuff...
I was looking through some of the astrological ‘predictions’ that were made earlier about 2003, and came upon this one in the December issue of Mountain Astrologer magazine (written Sept. 27, 2002), about the happenings surrounding today's full moon.

“...Terrorism (real or fabricated by elements within the government); widespread public rebellion and protests (especially relating to the Middle East/Iraq); loose-cannon leaders (or corporate executives) versus humanitarian groups or the U.N.; large fires; rapid military escalation. Difficult decisions are made....Governments may attempt to control or trace the flow of information on the Internet, stating that the Net aids terrorists but also fearing that the damaging information available there could become more mainstream.”

Interesting. The first part is right on, except for the fires; to my knowledge there haven’t been any major fires in the last few days. The prediction about the internet may be in the planning stages right now–I wouldn’t be surprised!

It is one of my favorites!

I'm a rabbit vibe! Stylish, voracious, and I know exactly what I want and how to get it!

Thanks for the quiz goes to Uffish Thoughts and Blogwhore 2!! Check it out. At least I didn’t turn out being a butt-plug. I don’t think I would have taken that too well!

t.A.T.u. girls are not lesbians

In Rex Wockner’s recent PlanetOut article, he calls t.A.T.u. “the world's first closeted heterosexual public figures.” It seems fairly certain now that the Russian pop duo are heterosexuals using lesbianism as a publicity ploy. Russian reporter, Svetlana Makunina, from the newspaper Zhin told British journalists, “They've been hiding two boys from their fans. Their boyfriends are both students who are a little bit older than themselves. Nobody in Russia believes they are lesbians." Kevin O'Flynn of the Moscow Times agreed. "The members of t.A.T.u. are about as lesbian as I am. The story is a load of bull. There hasn't been too much of a fuss in Russia about t.A.T.u.'s claims to be lesbians. I don't think anybody believes it."

It is too bad. I was hoping that they really were lesbians. They’re cute and they generate positive publicity. There never was much chance I would personally buy their cd; I am not into pop music, but I won’t be buying their poster now either!
