What a big project this is
A new encyclopedia went online today which is devoted to GLBT culture (gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender). The encyclopedia already has more than 900 entries from over 250 contributors. The editors claim that it will make previously hard to find information accessible to everyone.
I spent some time playing around in it, and found quite a bit of interesting historical information as well as a wealth of literary entries. Check
it out and see what you think!
I’m glad that someone has put all this information together, and I can see the use for it as a quick reference, but for me, I prefer a good search engine and the wide variety of information and views posted throughout the Net.
Thanks Demented Kitty
for posting this on Dykewrite.
Women’s history...this month’s celebration!
In honor of women’s history month, here’s a good beginning reference site for students, teachers, and parents.
I figured it out!
Jill put a link to this Flash
Mind Reader on her site today. Very cool! See if you can figure out how it works.....it took me quite awhile. (No, it doesn’t watch where your eyes track!)
Hoping for the best
Mars is in a particularly bad position tomorrow (it goes ‘out of bounds’–exceeds declination of 23degrees 26minutes). It is especially intense tomorrow in respect to Washington DC. Then on March 6th it returns for the first time to the zodialogical position it was in on Sept. 11th. When Mars is concerned, it affects male energy, conflicts (warfare), ambition, leadership, courage, and strength. Cross your fingers, say a prayer, meditate on peace...whatever is your flavor of positive energy. We need it right now.
