Too much to read...no words to write
Why is it that the more reading that I do, the less I have to say? After wading through three days of news alerts, almost-spam and must read blogs, I feel satiated and unable to write. And it also doesn’t help that the first of the summer rain storms is happening outside right now. In this area, we have been so dry for the past three months that brush fires have become a serious threat. But tonight, the dry spell is broken! I have the leeward windows open, letting in the cool damp breeze and the great smell of rain–how wonderful!

The reason that I am so far behind on my reading, is that this weekend became three days of home remodeling projects.....for The Pilot! I admit it, I am a task driven fool. Once I get started helping with a project--like finding a place for a killer garage sale find (a really nice glass top wicker table for the awesome price of $15!), it can easily mushroom into a large scale redecorating project that I am (insanely) excited about doing. Three days later, the weekend is over, my body is tired, and I have the sense of satisfaction of a job well done. But....next time I really need to work on MY house! Extreme make-over, where are you?

It’s that time of year
This Wednesday evening is my ‘solar return’. In astrology jargon, that means the time when the sun returns to the position it was when I was born–or if you prefer, my birthday! Writing will be a little scarce the end of this week, as I intend to celebrate fully!

My solar return chart this year speaks strongly of new business enterprises, and a personae-remodeling--both very favorable. Seeing that I have begun the process of starting a new business, this is good news. I picked up my occupational license from the city today; one more step completed in the very long (but exciting) process. I threw up an ‘under construction’ type of page. I think it’s a bit ‘dark’, but I would love to hear from some of you. Now I have only a thousand more things to do before I can throw open the doors! I wish I could clone myself into a whole fleet of web designers, graphic artists, and business geniuses. Geminis have a great ability to do numerous jobs, but we can’t make more time in a day. (I wish!)
