Friday’s Favorite Five
I haven’t posted a Friday Five in several weeks–my life has been so unorganized and crazy that it has been impossible to even post a simple list of links. That’s bad! But, I feel a change in the air (a good milestone like a birthday will do that!), and things are starting to smooth out. I feel full of anticipation–a whole weekend (a whole new year!) is stretching out in front of me. I feel excited and ready...either I’m delirious, deranged or deluded...or maybe all three. But who cares? I love the simple highs of life! See you on Monday...hope you have a fabulous weekend!

This is a very cool optical illusion. There is so much movement, it is hard to believe that it is all in your head. (Unless you spent some time emulating the Merry Pranksters, then you are used to everything moving!)

I am fascinated by Leonardo DaVinci’s genius, but haven’t had time to read his Notebooks or study him in depth. This site delivers his writing in a page-a-day format (using an RSS reader--download included). I just added it to my Newsmonster list–let’s see if I can keep it up for 1,565 days!

NARAL has a very funny site that answers the question “Could there be any George worse than George W”? Replace our current George’s head with another famous George (including Boy George and George Jetson). His advisors also change of course. (Can I vote for George Jetson?)

The Day the Binky Died, a Dooce post, is the hilarious (but oh so true!) tale of weaning a baby off of a pacifier. It will make you glad that you are not there.

For those who want a little bit of mindless game play, check out Pandaf Golf. ‘Golf’ is applied loosely to this game...it is actually getting the ball into flag vicinity by figuring out the arc angles--no graphic-poor player with a bad swing. Fairly stress-free fun. (Via Firda. Thanks!)
