What's Granny Making?

The Will and Testament art exhibit in London will include knitted genitalia, created by Mary Gee, a 72 year old grandmother.
From now on, I think I will do a double-take when spying the self-absorbed knitter. (Is that a hat, or a knitted pussy?) Who knows....maybe there is a whole underground group of x-rated knit and pearlers!

Love Is Blind
A study from the University College in London has found that feelings of love lead to suppression of activity in the areas of the brain controlling critical thought, and also reduced levels of activity in the systems necessary for making negative judgements. So Love truly is blind!. This suppression was found to occur in both romantic and maternal love. At the same time, the lovers had increased activity in the part of the brain associated with feelings of euphoria.

Once again a scientific study confirms what has already been casually observed. Everyone knows that someone in love is not going to listen to criticism of their beloved, and this bias also extends to mothers. Just once I would like to hear the mother of a psychopath say, “He was always such a bad boy. I knew he would come to a bad end.”
