Summer fever....
I am having a hard time blogging today. I want to blame the lack of interesting
GLBT and general women’s news, as well as the sorry state of the political
news (is any of the lying, cover-ups and media skewing really ‘news’?),
but really I just don’t want to sit still! I would much rather be dancing
around the house!
Summer television doldrums
What are you watching now that the summer shows are on television? I have become
hooked by Hell’s Kitchen (on Fox). Yes, it is another reality show–this
one has two groups of aspiring restaurant owners/chefs being bullied and verbally
abused by chef Gordon Ramsey as they compete to be the last chef standing. As
I watch, I find myself empathizing with the contestants, like I never have with
the beauty, bachelorette and bug eating shows. However, I don’t think
I could personally stand the abuse (and the work load) that these contestants
endure. And equally amazing to me is the restaurant patrons who typically wait
over two hours for their meal! Not me....I’d be out the door and heading
down the street by the end of the first hour....there are too many good restaurants
around to wait that long. Other than that, I’m amusing myself with dvds
of movies and older shows. In preparation of the release of season four of Six
Feet Under on dvd, I have started at season one and am watching them again.
Am I missing something, or is there really nothing at all on television. Drop
me a line if you’ve found something worth watching.

This past Friday was one of my best friend’s birthdays (another Gemini!!).
