Roller Coaster Anyone?
Hey everybody, it's Scotti.
OK, I see that apparently it is the season for breakups and crazy people that
make no sense (at least not to us!).
Here--let me just list all the depressing things in my life:
- My g/f and kids just left me.
- I have to have a hysterectomy in Aug. and I am only 33yrs old.
- My Step-mom is dying of lung cancer.
- My mom actually lives with me. And her crazy sister.
- My car is broken down in the driveway.
- I don't have a dog.
One thing I have learned over the years--turn it around or you will go nuts.
- I get to remodel the house in ANY color I want!
- No more periods for me. Throw the tampons away!
- Great motivator to quit smoking and I have!
- Mom buys me stuff all the time and my aunt keeps the house clean!
- Gives me an excuse to fire up the motorcycle!
- I am getting a dog!
There you go--problems solved. LOL! I wish. I am a survivor. Nothing will get
me down. Sure, some things hurt but I will get over it. Do I have a choice?
I had no choice about any of the stuff on the list. But I have a choice on how
I can handle it.
So how did I handle everything? The same way every woman should. I bought myself
a present. An MP3 player. Nothing like music to sooth the soul. Here is what
I have loaded so far:

- Vanessa Carlton - Ordinary day
I know… I am all over the place with these songs. But I like the lyrics.
A good song has to have good lyrics. I still have plenty of room for more songs.
Any suggestions?
Be sad for a while, but then get up- shake yourself off and have at it again.
What choice do you have? Ride the roller coaster, it won't kill you.
