Busy week
This coming Saturday, I’m having the second annual Take It Away Party. You
might remember that I came up with this idea last year because I had a bunch of
potential garage sale stuff but no motivation to sort, price and haggle with strangers
over a quarter. Instead I threw a party with food and martinis, and a room full
of stuff to ‘take away’ (please!!) for free. I had a blast (I think
everyone else did also), and everyone took a box of stuff home. The remaining
few boxes easily went to a local charity.....much easier and more fun than having
a garage sale!! This year I not only have my own giveaways, but also things from
Sailor Boi and two other friends–the idea is spreading!
Wednesday, my mother is getting a hip replacement. I’m going to Lakeland
to keep my dad company (and keep him from worrying) while my mother is in the
hospital. I’m leaving tomorrow and won’t be back until Thursday
night. So no posts tomorrow or Wednesday...sorry! I’ll post a photo for
you when I get back, and we can just pretend it is Wednesday. See you then!
