Fort Lowell Doc Conquers Yellow Fever

Well, sort of anyhow. Major Walter Reed served at Fort Lowell in Tucson during his almost 16 years as an army physician at various frontier outposts. He’s remembered, of course, for his work establishing that the mosquito was the transmitter of yellow fever.
