Aliens

So I’m in my ‘second office’ at Starbucks the other day, pretending to work but really waiting for the nearly naked tootsies from Catalina Foothills High School to come in on break, when the Borgs arrived.

These were two neatly dressed guys of indeterminate age with silver appliances screwed into their ears. They were talking but not to one another. Since Star Trek times the Borgs have apparently managed to get the control devices reduced in size. Pretty scary.

Pictures

On September 10th I posted a picture of the Senior Bush and friend fishing in a flooded New Orleans. I took it down. I’m heavily into bad taste on occasion but this seemed to be flogging a dead horse. Survivors don’t need to be reminded of their abandonment and the members of my choir don’t need preaching to.

I mention this only because getting the damned pic on the post took forever. I know other Radioland bloggers put up pictures all the time. I salute them if it’s as difficult for them as it was for me.

I think posting pictures on a Salon Blog is a good deal like trying to teach a pig to dance. You can do it, but it hardly seems worth the effort. If I ever leave here for good it will be to move totally to Blogger, where I already have a mirror of The Data Port and where picture posting is a snap.

Does anyone out there have a simple way of posting pictures? The Radioland procedure seems both tortured and obscure.
