Finally back in the swing after being away the week before last!  I am in the middle of reading a book called Fingersmith by Sarah Waters.  I love her books.  The first one I read was Tipping the Velvet, but I liked her second book Affinity even better.  She does a fabulous job getting inside the heads of her characters.  She also sets her books in Victorian England and really makes the reader feel the time period.  She is one of my favorite authors.  I recommend her highly with one caveat—she writes about lesbian relationships in her novels.  The relationships are definitely sensual, rather than sexual, but if you are offended by such things you may not want to read her.  Both Affinity and Fingersmith are mysteries with many plot twists and betrayals.  The reader is never quite sure what will happen next.

The snow is slowly melting and I am eager to get into the garden.  The library is having another plants sale this year.  It is a major fundraiser for us and fun to do as well.  We sell a combination of donated and purchased plants. This year we will try to have some interesting and unusual small trees and shrubs. It seems so far off because winter has such a lock on us right now but it actually only a little more than a month away.
